I have used Bayside Builders Inc. on several renovations and projects on my home. The first work was in 2004 following my purchase of the home as a second home, and now we live here full time.

The work has been varied and includes detailed crown moldings throughout the house, new stairs from my lot down to the beach, finishing a basement and adding sliding doors that look out over the water (this required cutting of the foundation and adding additional support), replacing a deck, and most recently building a large shed.

The work is always done professionally, and Bruce Donahue is always availble to answer any questions or address any concerns.

The fact that I have used him repeatedly is the best reference I can give him.

I write this letter in recommendation of Bruce Donahue, owner of Bayside Builders, as a general contractor. I am a neighbor of Bruce's and he has performed both repair work and new construction at my home. In addition to the many homes and projects completed over the years, Bruce built his own impresssive tri-level home and beautifully renovated the existing cottage next door.

Bruce sticks to his schedule set for the job, works in an organized manner and completes the job required. He has an eye for detail and styling and is meticulous about keeping his own property in pristine condition. These traits carry through to the job he performs. Having been in business for many years, he is well-known and has built solid relationships with many quality sub-contractors.

I was more than satisfied with the work Bayside Builders performed at my home and would use Bruce's company again in the future.

Bruce built a "multi-purose" building for me in the Spring of 2010. It was a 32 x 32 foot detached building at my residence, which included a 2 car garage with a full dormer 2nd floor, full bath on both floors, shed room and cabana. He framed the building, which was a moderately complicated building, with quite a bit of structural detail to handle spans, both within the garage on the cabana side. The plans were professionally designed and structural provided by a structural engineer. Times being what they are, he worked with a small crew, but was able to complete the job in a timely manner. The siding and roof were completed by other sub-contractors, which he oversaw.

I am familiar with the construction industry and was a GC for about 7 years. I had 30+/-, simple type, starter capes, ranches and raised ranches homes built, so I have familiarity with framing and subs, what to expect and not expect, from vendors in the industry for the price you pay. I think Bruce did a more than adequate job for the price/value and would recommend him and would have hired him when I was in the industry, but did not have the opportunity to do so at the time.
